Next up is our Winter Concert on March 4th at 3:00 pm. The concert will be at Villa Maria College, 240 Pine Ridge Road, Buffalo, NY. (Map)
Featured soloist will be violinist Thomas Halpin. He will play the Violin Concerto No. 5 in A minor by Henri Vieuxtemps.
We will also be playing Schumann's Symphony #4, Wolf-Farrari's Overture to the Interlude "Suzanne's Secret, as well as one other small work.
Rehearsals for the March concert began on Tuesday, January 10th.
Rehearsals (unless otherwise noted) are on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 pm in the bandroom of Cheektowaga High School, 3600 Union Road, Cheektowaga, NY.
Please enter the building through the double glass doors that face Union Road at the end of the handicapped ramp. The back door of the bandroom is an emergency exit, and may generate a silent (sometimes not so silent) alarm if opened.

Are you a musician who is interested in playing with the CCSO? We’re always looking for talented new members. We especially need string players, but there are limited openings for wind and percussion players. Interested wind players are also needed on our sub list, to occasionally sub for rehearsals. Preference is given to players who are available for more of the concerts.
